I'm glad someone is finally standing up to the unfairness of this tournament. It's pointless, too. It wears players out and injures them for important games, like league, US Open Cup (which I rank wayyyy above SuperLiga in terms of importance because it actually MEANS something), and Champions League in a few months. United lost Gallardo, Peralta, and Quaranta because of that foolish tournament. The only good it does is that it gets Mexican players in shape for their season, but why should WE care about that? If the league would get its act together and actually have the $1,000,000 available this wouldn't even be an issue, and the teams competing in the tournament would have all the incentive they needed to compete at their best. If the problem is that the pool is greater than that for MLS Cup, just increase the prize for winning the league. The players have every right to split their money however they choose.
