  • Nate Jaqua, Summer Transfers

ISI PhotosIt sure appears that way. In an email to Houston reporter Bernando Fallas, Dynamo COO Chris Canetti said the possibility of Nate Jaqua returning to the two-time champions is very good.

“I thought we were going to get it done on Wednesday but there have been a few lingering issues that we are trying to work out,” Dynamo COO Chris Canetti wrote in an e-mail today.

“The latest proposal was shared with Nate’s people this morning, and I’m optimistic that it will come together.”

Fallas also stated that we shouldn’t “doubt for a second, Jaqua will be in a Dynamo uniform by the end of the month.”

No word on if a deal will be reached today but expect something to come through next week as the transfer window is set to officially open back up for the summer. The earliest he could be in a Dynamo uniform is July 19.

All good news if you ask me for Dynamo fans. Jaqua would easily improve an offense that has largely been a miss this season due to departures of Jaqua and Joseph Ngwenya earlier this year, and also the fact that this club hasn’t gotten all that much younger.

Does Jaqua make the Dynamo a legit contender again? That will remain to be seen if/when he does rejoin the club. All signs should point to yes though as weak as the western conference is this season.
