It can still happen. Since the Marlins park has been hung up in Braman’s lawsuit, they may have to move in mid season in 2011, which gives more time for a soccer stadium to be built at the same time. Plus, it’s a soccer stadium. I can’t take more than 2 years to put up. Barca and David Beckham have been mentioned as possible investors as well. It’s impossible that Miami won’t be in MLS by the 20th team at the latest. With ZERO clubs in the southeast they need at least 2 of the next 4 there in my view. Atlanta and Miami are the two biggest, most viable sites and will no doubt be front runners in the region. I’m betting MLS will go to 20 teams, so that allows Montréal, St. Louis, or Phoenix to get in as well. NYC2 is the most absurd idea I’ve ever heard. No new NY team until everywhere else is in first.

Yep, don't like it. It does sound like there is still time. The stadium just needs to be done quickly. We'll get Speedy Gonzalez Constuction Company and we'll be fine as soon as the future owners step up. They out there we just need to find them. Keep the faith Miami!
