This really should come to no surprise as one of the owners of the new expansion club in Seattle is a co-founder of the computer giants. Today’s Wall Street Journal is reporting that software giant Microsoft will be the jersey sponsor for MLS expansion club Seattle Sounders FC.
According to report, the deal is worth about $4 million a season for five years. A deal that is right up there with the VW deal with DC United, not bad for an expansion squad if you ask me.
When Seattle kicks off its expansion season in 2009, the Sounders will have “XBox 360 Live” on the front of their jerseys. Something that had been thrown around for a while on a couple sites out there. The jerseys are expected to be revealed this afternoon.
Once the jerseys are revealed I will have them posted for you all here.
