I'm a DC fan unfortunately living in New England (shoot me), and I attended the Gold Cup last year at Gillette. I have to say, when the place is close to halfway filled up, and there are some serious (mostly non-American) fans there, it's a great venue. The views from any seat (mine was in a corner about 30 rows back) are spectacular, and you feel pretty close to the players, and can hear them talking amongst themselves.

Dude, I agree with Crew Stadium. I mean c'mon, it's going to end up being the Wrigley field of MLS when it's all said and done! (you know, when the St. Louis Crew are taking the pitch in a few years)

Just to chip in here, PGE Park is my "local" - infrequently as I have gotten there of late. And, yeah, it's everything people say it is. The Timbers Army does a hell of a job; I'm not part of it (I'm too....words escape me...too much of an a-hole?), but, commenting as someone who has seen a few stadiums across the country, they do atmosphere as well as anyone. How well? I caught Watford v. Leeds at Vicarage Road a few years back and it was a tomb next to PGE. Actually, it was a tomb next to my living room at midnight...perhaps not the best comparison...
