MLS Blogging News: RSL Fan Blog Hacked

I typically try to stay away from talking about other MLS blogs and websites out there, mainly to not step on any toes or tick anyone off with my opinion even if it is good. But today is kind of one of those days that I have to take a step back and feel a little bit luck to blog about the sport and league that I love.

For those who don’t know a MLS related blog was hacked/attacked/torn-up/etc., over the last day or so. The main source† (other than from actual media) for everything Real Salt Lake, the RSLFM.com blog.

RSLFM.com isnít run like a professional news site, but rather is more of a critical and biased look at all things connected to RSL.† Typically pessimistic like a New England based sports fan and typically harsh on the teamís front office like a New York sports fan, but almost always funny, humorous, entertaining, and always worth a read even if you aren’t a RSL fan. Its not always what they write but how they write and present their stuff is what I enjoyed out of them.

Being hacked is a nightmare scenario for a blog or any website for that matter (a situation I’ve been through on another site before).† Itís something I hope never happens to WVH, and we have the site backed up just in case.

Hopefully sites like mine and others that I’ve seen already today will keep their hopes up and give them the motivation to continue on in this tough time that they are going through. I hope that whatever dickhead out there that caused this or did the hacking will get caught. I would have to think that a simple IP search from Blogger could help find what happened and help catch the person.

Best of luck RSLFM, don’t let others rain on your parade.

Her site wasn't hacked. That is a fabrication. She was shut down by Blogger for violating their terms of service.

I've been getting reports about that all day. Whatever the case is to see a site ran by a fan go out like that sure does suck. If she was doing some things that she shouldn't have been, then its another subject but I always thought well of them and their passion for RSL. Sometimes we need to lighten up on stuff like this.

People that say that she has copyright infrigement problems, and I shouldn't say people, as it is a person who keeps saying this. It is the very hacker who is saying that she has copyright infrigment. Please get his IP, and e-mail it to RSFLM@gmail.com.

By the way, it will be terrible if she does go down, she did a great work, even if we disagreed with her.

Being hacked would be a nightmare if it were true.

It is all a huge fabrication.
The site got shut down by Blogger. Nothing more.
I used to be a big fan but now I am just embarrassed for her. Why did a site that was so loved by me and many others have to go out with so much drama? I personally don't understand the need for the charade.

    Duiz,
I really do hope you are just trying to be funny.
but if you are serious then at least get her email address right.

I can give you my IP address. Trust me, I'm no hacker.
