Seattle Keeps It Smart, New Club Called Seattle Sounders FC

Posted by Drew Epperley under: MLS; News and Rumors; Seattle Sounders FC .

Bumping this back up…got more shots below…

Best of both worlds? You bet. Below are some shots of the new logo from the press conference a few minutes ago.

Let’s just say right now, the owners made the smart decision here with this name. Keeps some old tradition alive and mixes it in with some new MLS flavor. I like it. Do you? Plus I like the green and blue. Very simple colors that go well together.

Please note more images will come as I can get them…owners are all talking right now so it could take a while…

Well, I was hoping for Emerald City or something with City in the name, but the sounders fc seems okay. Color scheme is great. The badge is funky like most mls but pretty cool.

Excellent. I voted for the Sounders and am glad it won. Colors and crest are excellent as well. I am very excited for this team to get off the ground, these are the type of owners we need in this league; already thinking internationally in selling the team and player acquisition. Hopefully the league will have a few rule and salary changes in place so they can spend some money right away on players.
Beautiful!!!

I really like the name Sounders FC. It was clear that the Seattle club was trying to stay away from the Sounders name, but wan’t to please it’s fans. Due to the overwhelming support for the Sounders name, the club decided to use the sounders name and ad FC to the end. I feel that this is a good hybrid of a name. As said above, use the old and new.
I also like the color. It’s a unique color scheme to go with a unique name. I look forward strong support from the Seattle area for thier team.
