Santino is back in the Nation’s captial after signing a deal with the four-time MLS Cup champs today. Quaranta is said to have been very happy to be back in DC and is wanting a fresh start with United.

Steve Goff caught up with United GM Dave Kasper to get his comments on signing Quaranta again:

Quaranta “looks fit and is focused…just needs match sharpness after a long layoff” following foot surgery last fall,

As for the contract that Quaranta signed. Goff said that its a “standard senior roster contract with lots of incentives, such as percentage of games played, assists, etc.”

Sounds like Santino has his head on straight for once. Hard to believe that this kid is a veteran in some ways in this league but he’s still realitvely young and wants to prove himself again in this league with DC. Honestly I think its good that DC gave him another chance to prove himself again. If he does have his head on straight for once then DC just landed a nice signing this off-season for their midfield depth.

Sorry for the lack of updates today…I’ve been busy at work but I am working on a Chivas season preview that I hope to have out tonight or in the morning!!…hopefully more to come before then!!
