Cannon Girl: as far as the comment of "its Cannon's job to lose"...think about that for a second. Its a phrase meaning that he has to pretty much either get injured, retire or do something crazy to lose his starting role. Meaning it just won't happen.

RSL, I see you points, I had trouble rating RSL due to Rimando and Seitz really. I know there is depth because of Seitz but his is pretty unproven as far as the MLS goes and Rimando does have his moments of not-so-great-stuff. More I think about this I may have put DC and RSL in the wrong order. Other than that I stand by a rating of seven or eight for RSL. Same goes for the Bouna ranking, take any bias out of this picture here, Bouna has way more upside right now than Rimando. He does, and most around the league would agree with me on that.

Rimando was one of the top keepers in the league last year, and that was with a horrible defense in front of him. As far as having enough in the tank? He's 28. Thats Prime Time for a keeper. Seitz is your next Guzan or Tim Howard. How does this team rank 8th and the very shaky Bouna who played with one of the leagues best defenses in front of him rank #5? When I see a satisfactory answer to that I may start reading this blog with something other than a grain of salt.

In reference to #3 ... would you mind clarifying "we all know it's Cannon's job to lose"?

In reference to # 13 ... I wish Steve all the best but I'm sorry, my Joe is irreplaceable.
I've said it before and I'll say it again ... Joe carried the Galaxy last season. I can't count
how many times I watched them play and asked myself, " Is Joe playing out there all by himself?". And I held my tongue on this for as long as I could but here goes ... if they
needed to trade someone to free up allocation money (yeah, right), then (nothing personal)
they should have traded Vagenas for scoring a goal for Pachuca (the OTHER team) in the
Super Liga final and costing his OWN team the victory. THAT wasn't Joe's fault. The Galaxy
really played a great game that night and deserved to win but noooooo, #8 had to go and
score a goal for the opposing team ... how embarrassing.

In my opinion, Joe has more than proven his worth as the best goalkeeper on the planet
and is more than capable AND ready to coach his own MLS team. He is to soccer what Joe
Montana was to football ... THE BEST!!

Great site by the way.

GO QUAKES!!!!!!

Patrick, let me ask you this, I understand your point on DC and RSL but which club's keeper situation (below RSL and DC on my list) would you take above them? Rimando is much more proven in my book than a Jon Busch or a Greg Sutton.

I feel like D.C. and RSL are both higher up than they should be. Though I don't know much about Chris Seitz, Rimando has never been great (D.C. gets rid of him for an inexperienced Perkins and they turn things around breath ), especially when he doesn't have a good defense in front of him. Wells has done the back up thing for a while, but I don't know if that means he's ready to go. He's never really been all that impressive when forced to play.

Seitz is tentatively penciled in as the starter for the U-23 team. He has great skill.

Shouldn't RSL be a little higher with the combo of Rimando in goal and Chris Seitz waiting to take over in the wings?
