Which Is Worse? 08 US Kit or 94?

Some things are just said to be left to the pictures for people to decide on which is better/worse. Today is that kind of day. Nike released the new US National team kit and I must say it may be the ugliest I’ve seen in many years. It makes me wish it was 1994 all over again and our country sport the denim flag jersey (and yes I actually still own one that was given to me as a gift).

Take a look for yourself:

Its like the San Jose Clash meets the US National team. I liked the blue stripes that we wore last year but these new kits are terrible.

It really does make me miss the old kits like the ones from 1994.

I think it is time that the USSF got away from Nike, if the badge on the jersey wasn’t big enough, I think the new kits speak loud and clear that it is time for the US National team to sign a new deal with adidas or someone that is able to make a quality kit.

Honestly, I don’t think the new 2008 USMNT kits look at all bad! The one from 1994 - Good God, can it scream any louder? I think the new 2008 kits will bring our USMNT good luck! Superstitious - of course! But, I will agree as it was stated by Ives (I think) - the new kits have an apparent “Tommy Hilfiger” look to ‘em!

Is not worse than 1994, but they’ve regressed. I would want to own this one for sure! I hope all the players bring their golf clubs and khakis to the Mexico game, b/c by the look of the jersey, they just switched sports!

This new kit isn’t nearly as bad as 94 but the kits that they were wearing (06 world cup) were great. They were as good as Argentina who’s I think are the best. I guess I will get used to them when we face Mexico coming up.

I actually like the new US jersey.
I also like the blue with white pinstripes.
The 94 ones, yeah, they were um, bad. But I didn’t like the ones from 02 either - circle with the number in them, just looked dumb to me.

well, for me it depends on what color the shorts are…red with maybe a blue stripe would look cool, or vice versa. if they ruin it with solid blue or white though, then this kit will be absolutely horrible

Yeah, I don’t get what all of the fuss is about. They are a tad on the plain side, but, all-in-all, nothing that I’d be embarrassed to wear.

I didn’t realize we were in an episode of Project Runway…

What the hell? How could anyone like these Tommy Hillfiger rip-off polo look? Plus, is that pink…PINK? Seriously? I would never wear one of these.

Total proof that Nike should stick to overpriced basketball shoes that fall apart and are only thought to be cool by inner-city 12 year old boys.

Good lord, let’s ditch NIKE as quick as possible!
The women’s gold looked better then these and they were awful.

Please call adidas and ask them to match whatever Nike pays. Actually, we’ll give them a discount now.

the only jersey i’ve seen that is uglier is … well… sorry, can’t think of any. EVER.

The 94 jersey was nice given it’s time. This new one is painfully boring. Worse, the country’s colors, and this is a national team jersey, are red white and blue. Why in the name of Samuel T Satan are they putting grey all over it????
