		<description>The Rapids haven&#039;t had a player like Gomez since the late 90&#039;s, if ever.  I&#039;d give up Cooke for him, he&#039;s past his prime and isn&#039;t a dynamic as Gomez.  I doubt Cooke is headed to DC though, where would his international status fit?

However, I think it is time the league did a favor for the Rapids.  We all know Gomez isn&#039;t staying in DC.  Had DC wanted to get more for him, they should have moved him a month ago.  They don&#039;t need any help in the form of allocation money...MLS should make DC trade Gomez for a couple draft picks and a pat on the back.  Lord knows the league has helped DC enough.  It is Colorado&#039;s turn.</description>
