Something that really should have been posted a month ago or so has finally been released. The 2008 MLS SuperDraft order is finally out and ready for the public viewing.
Interesting seeing the number of picks and where things actually did fall for the clubs.
Chivas with only one pick really jumps out at me, especially since it is a forth rounder. Also expansion club San Jose with only two picks is surprising. Two-time defending champion Houston Dynamo has two picks as well, both late in the third and forth round.
Dallas and LA have seven picks each, so expect plenty of trades with these clubs and other with lack of picks like Chivas and San Jose.
Chicago, KC, and New England each have five picks each.
This draft is expected to be pretty deeps so each club should have a chance at getting some value.
A few of my projections were wrong but they were just guesses for the most part anyways. But for the most part things I had on my projections lined up fairly well with what the league released.
