The Red Bulls have waived an oft-injured midfielder Santino Quaranta.

Quaranta was acquired from Los Angeles for a conditional fourth-round draft pick, he played just three games for the Red Bulls for a combined total of 47 minutes. He missed most of the second half of the season with a foot injury.

Will he get another shot with a MLS club? Maybe, and probably only if he changes his worth ethic. That or if there is a coach out there that thinks he can get him to actually show the promise that he once had when he was a 16-year old on DC’s squad and the kid that played well for the US in the Gold Cup in 2005.

I hope to see him get picked up somewhere and I highly doubt he will get any looks overseas either.

A possible fit for him could be San Jose, though seeing that Yallop possibly traded him away from LA last year could hurt this idea. It wouldn’t shock me to see Colorado go after him with the way they make decisions anymore.

Do you see him landing anywhere else? Let me know.

I have a sinking feeling in my belly that he'll end up in Colorado. This is the perfect type of player for the Rapids to pick up…see Clint Mathis.
