Beginning with the expansion San Jose Earthquakes, each MLS team will follow the specified draft order in selecting players, and if a team selects any player, that team will then be repositioned at the bottom of the next player waiver wire, as per the Competition Guidelines Manual.

Also per league rules, there will be no trades allowed during the draft.

Don’t expect a whole lot of action in this, if any at all.

Surprising to see some names on this waiver list. LA waiving Carlos Pavon makes me laugh a little, while I question why guys like Laurent Merlin and Kyle Veris were waived (guessed I missed something on them somewhere). Other than that it’s weird seeing Chivas dumb a big number of guys like this as well as Toronto.

I would expect San Jose to at least grab someone from this list as they continue to build their roster.

Also, I don’t know exactly the rules in how many picks you can have in this. But like I said don’t expect too much action in this.
