Real Madrid has increased it’s interest in New York Red Bulls youngster Jozy Altidore.
Sporting director assistant Carlos Bucero had traveled to New York amid reports the club was interested in signing the 18-year-old New York Red Bulls striker, the team said Friday.
No secret that Madrid was looking for plenty of young and cheap strikers to build up their reserves for the future.
The move would be one of the biggest, if not the biggest move for a young American to a top flight soccer league like the one in Spain. Might be the biggest signing for any American since Tim Howard went to Manchester United a few years back.
The fact that more reports are stating that Madrid has more interest in Altidore is a good thing for the youngster. The more press the better for this kind of move I think.
With the winter transfer window just weeks away, more reports like this should follow soon.
