Jose Mourinho At MLS Cup

Yes indeed, former Chelsea boss was invited to the Nation’s Capital by the league to take part in the weekend festivities at the MLS Cup.

No real word if he will be talking with any clubs while he is over on this side of the pond but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him chatting it up with the Red Bull owners while he is in town.

I don’t think it is a secret that the league and the Red Bulls would love to have a high profile guy like Mourinho to coach in the MLS. Too bad the big name experiment has always failed the league, more so failed New York. As much as I would welcome in the old Blue’s boss, I just can’t see it being anything worth doing right now for the league. I don’t want to sound all negative on this but I really question whether or not he would be able to handle a club who’s budget was the sum of one of his reserves at Chelsea?

Hopefully he is just along for the fun and to see what the MLS is really about. Time will tell I am sure after this week if he will be with a club or just eating free MLS food.
