Worst MLS Front Office: Colorado Rapids
I never like writing things like this really but when it is due it has to be done. It has been reported by Ives and a couple others today that the Colorado Rapids will do the unthinkable and allow Fernando Clavijo to come back and coach another season in Denver next year.
I must say I am stunned at the fact that they aren’t dumping after another disappointing season, one that he said when he was hired would be an MLS Cup team.
If I were a Rapids fan I would be terribly upset at this news to the point where I would be looking for a new club to support, maybe even the neighbors to the left in Salt Lake.
This news shows that the Rapids front office is either dumber than we first thought or they really think next season will be better than this year. Either way I see Claivjo as a lame duck coach next season and the Rapids fail to make the playoffs yet again under him. He proves to be a horrible manager who makes trades that are questionable every time.
What do you all think of this news? I think The Rapids acceptance of mediocrity is amazing really. Maybe it is denial though…
