In a rare Monday night game the Houston Dynamo look to rebound after a loss to the LA Galaxy while Real Salt Lake hopes to spoil and chances of Houston moving up the ladder in the western conference standings and passing Chivas USA.

Weird kind of scheduling really if you ask me to get a game this late in the season on a Monday night in Salt Lake City. Must have been some sort of stadium conflict this weekend or something. Needless the say this game has a lot on it with the two recent draws for Chivas and the fact that Houston now has a game in hand against the Goats and have a change to move closer with a game against Chivas looming next week that could very well deside who wins the west and who will go on to face FC Dallas as the 2 seed in the west.

Real can play spoiler though. They have proven to be pretty good at that so far this season by delaying some chances for other clubs. I kinda like Real in this game because of that and because this looks like a perfect trap game for Houston. It happened before earlier in the season in Salt Lake City, where Houston had a bigger game looming ahead and Real was able to come away with a surprise victory over the defending champs thanks to a late Robbie Findley goal.

Honestly however, I won’t go with Real fully but I will call a draw in this one. I think it makes for good drama at the end of the season with Chivas and Houston going neck and neck and having the possibility now of coming up even in the standings together.

Yes, I draw sounds good with the way Houston played last weekend against LA as well in my mind. Again trap games like this can be very tough.

WVH Prediction: Houston 1, RSL 1
