As a DC fan, I must say it's really Chivas' to lose. That's 7 games left now and they're on 43 points. Houston won't do it, Dallas and NE will cancel each other out because they'll drop points somewhere in there, one will eliminate the other from contention this weekend, and then they'll have to go full-bore for the lamar hunt cup (a trophy is a trophy), virtually guaranteeing a loss in the next matchup.

DC will drop points and get maybe 60, but I see 58 as a more realistic goal, and frankly, though I would love to win it, I'll be happy with a 50 plus point season (which will win the east anyway). Chivas, however, is clicking and has 7 games to get 17 points agains some weak stuff in there.

DCU just beaten RSL 2-1 on Sep-12 to build a 7 point lead for the Shield, with just 5/6 games left for most of their rivals, I would say DCU should become the first ever club to defend the title...
