The Juan Carlos Osorio era kicks off tonight in the Windy City as the Fire play host to the defending champion Dynamo.

The Dynamo and Fire are leading two different paths, as they have all season long. Chicago started out quick, while the Dynamo were in a total funk. Once May hit things changed; Houston has become the hottest thing in the league while the Fire have been a total waste.

Thursday nights seem to be Houston’s thing as of late. Someone making the schedule thought Houston was worthy of being in the prime-time spotlight for forth time in the past month or so. They have seem to enjoy the spot light as they have dominated in their prime-time matches. The last two have been amazing as they have won by a total of 8-0. I think this week will be a lot of the same thing. They are facing weaker competition as well this week.

Houston has been playing very well as of late as Ching, DeRo and the group have totally seemed to get on the same page with one another. Offense coming from everywhere has really changed the league’s perspective of this club but it has been the defense that has been utterly dominate. All-Star snub Pat Onstad leads the league in goals-against-average and the defense in front of him has been just as good.

Chicago on the other hand is a club worth not watching right now and I wonder if a change in coach will be enough to make them worth watching again. Some possible moves to the defense and getting some offense back and healthy (that’s you Chris Rolfe) will definitely make them respectable again.

The Fire may have claimed the victory in the last meeting at the early stages of the season but it won’t be the case as Houston will return the favor tonight. I don’t see a 4-0 beating but I do see a very easy win for the Dynamo.

WVH Prediction: Houston 3, Chicago 1
