MLS Primetime Preview

After a slew of holiday games that saw LA win another game against another club that is as pathetic as they are. Toronto finally got a road win and Kansas City dropped another game. Tonight two of the top clubs in the league as New York travels to Houston.

The Dynamo have never beaten the Red Bulls but that all should change tonight as the Men in Orange debut newly acquired Nate Jaqua up top with Brian Ching. Even though the Dynamo ended their winning streak last weekend in Dallas they should still be fine at home as they have been just about dominate at home as of late. Last week they totally handled Chivas at home in primetime and they should be able to do the same with the Red Bulls.

Speaking of New York, the Red Bulls have been a little off as of late in my eyes. They haven’t won since about a month ago when they traveled to Toronto for a midweek game with the Reds. The last three road games haven’t been any better for the Dynamo either as they have lost three straight on the road.

I think tonight should be a good game. The Dynamo should come out on top thanks to better play from Brian Ching and Dewayne DeRosario. They will be missing a couple players to call-ups, suspensions, and injuries but it shouldn’t make too much of a difference.

I am curious to see if newly acquired Santino Quaranta play for the Red Bulls. I wonder if Bruce will whip him into shape just the way he got Clint Mathis back to a respectable way.

Though I think Juan Pablo Angel will play well and score once I still believe the Dynamo will get this game.

WVH Prediction: Houston 2, New York 1
