Crazy games in the world of the MLS last night. Some, like myself, are wondering if we have seen a rebirth of the “Grown Ass Man” in KC? After last night’s goal and two assist in the first half, one can certainly speculate.
Never would have even guessed the Wizards would have packed that much punch against a very talented United squad. Maybe the United should have improved their defense instead of adding two Brazilians who go toward goal every time they step foot on the pitch.
The Wizards have reason to smile today. After many of us soccer bloggers were ready to write them off for this season due to lack of anything good on the transfer front, the Wizards are looking like a solid team. Using youth with their solid experience players, the Wizards tallied four goals.
By the way, rookie Michael Harrington looks like the real deal. Another reason KC can smile this morning.
Other games last night were exciting as well. The Houston – Chivas game came down to a second half goal by Brian Ching to beat the Goats. I have to say, anytime Ching scores you better watch out because it seemingly makes the Dynamo even tougher to beat.
Even though Chivas came up on the short end of the stick, they still were in this game from start to finish. Put that game at the ToolBox and I would have easily taken the Goats last night.
New England showed they still have what it takes to score winning 4 – zip last night over expansion side Toronto. TFC put up a little more of a fight this weekend, only getting out shot by 4 instead of 16 from a week ago.
You can tell that the boys from the north need guys like Ronnie O’Brien in the midfield controlling things.
RSL and Columbus bored me to sleep going zero-zero.
Two more games on the slate for today. FC Dallas at New York and Chicago takes their act to Colorado. More after those games later on today.
