Trinidad & Tobago, Guatemala and El Salvador. That is the US’s draw in this summer’s Gold Cup. I have to say I think its very doable for the US. Sure it’s not the easiest of groups out there but it isn’t a bad one either.
Group A consists of Costa Rica, Canada, Haiti and Guadeloupe while Group C includes U.S. rivals Mexico, Honduras, Panama and Cuba. Still the US in Group B…I say “bring it on.”
Remember the Gold Cup is on US soil, so the crowds should, and I stress should, help the US out in this. I believe the Gold Cup is the more important Cup this summer for the US since it is here. The US have to defend their title and I think this group will help them start that out.
Bob Bradley and his gang have a busy summer, but it should be a good summer. I still just wish they would remove the “interim” tag from Bradley’s name card. I have said it before, it needs to be done before the summer competitions.
