A great showing last night for the MLS. Both Houston and DC advance in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.  Houston used the home side wisely and scored a two goal win to push ahead 2-1 on goals. DC won their game 3-2 and scored 7 goals over all in their two game series.

Again, this is excellent news for the MLS going into another season. These two teams are carrying the banner very well and are showing why they are the class of the league right now.

The semifinals are up now for the two clubs. Houston will face Mexican club Pachuca, the defending Copa Sudamericana champions. While DC will have a tall task of playing  CD Guadalajara (Chivas) of Mexico. So its Mexican clubs against American clubs in the semis.

Games will be played on March 13 or 15. The second leg will be April 3 or 5.
