Good Ol’ Ives is letting us all know the the Red Bulls will soon be using their second and final designated player to probably sign Agustin Delgado who has been rumored to be with the club for quite some time now.

Delgado who is from Ecuador could a be a huge boost up top for the Red Bulls. Though he has some suspension concerns right now going on.

My one take on all of this with New York is that why would they use both of their DP spots within the two years of the trail on this rule? Most believe Cladio Reyna was the first player on the Red Bulls roster used in the DP slots. Ives thinks New York may either find someone for a year or even just two years with this and then look elsewhere in Europe after 2008. The owners for the Red Bulls have said many times that they want to sign a big time star when they open their new stadium, Red Bull Arena.

Stay tuned though…Zidane is still a very big long shot for the team and the league at this point. Ives gives it 50-1…I am a little less optimistic now at 85-1.
